Shari's Biography

Shari is originally from Portland, Jamaica. The singer/songwriter recognised her passion for music at the tender age of 8. Being exposed to different genres of music at an early age has had a lasting impact on the artist's unique style. From listening along to her mother playing her souls, pop and country and western tapes to developing a personal taste for R&B, hip hop, and reggae. Inspired by artists like Tanya Stephens, beres Hammond and Beyonce, just to name a few, Shari has developed a level of versatility. Singing and writing a fusion of music, reggae and R&B with a commercial twist.

The singing sensation started off as a soprano singer in the community choir years ago, where she had her first taste of stage performance. She perfomed at the city's festival
and other private functions. Shari is now the member of a reggae band called 'The Hardway Family' and has been a member for some years now. The band performs at city and town festivals, pubs and clubs and also private events.

Shari is a recording solo artist as well as a backing singer, she  calloborates and writes songs for other band members. Shari's lyrics are insipred by a combination of personal experiences and the experience of others. Using her passion and talents she aims to tell a story through her songs.

In March 2011 Shari had her first single release 'kitty Cat', produced by Hardway Records and Freeze production, the track features fellow band member, producer and DJ Willy P.

Shari has just completed the video shoot for her upcoming single on Willy P's 'what's going on' riddim which is set to be released later this year. The Hardway Records artist is scheduled to work with
Some Jamaican producers on future productions.
